He was already in the business of collecting animals! I could still remember that day, we visited their house, he was sitting on the couch, he was holding the Hork-Bajir Chronicles and the first question he asks was if I’ve read the book he lent me which was The Andalite Chronicles.

Even though Elfangor says he is composing this account as a final testimony to his people, his mind is focussed on the encounter he just had with his son, and he cares more about how Tobias would read it, than any particular Andalite, so he deliberately or subconsciously frames it as he would to a human teenager.

I don’t typically pick up sci-fi books due to a lack of interest in the genre, but when I found one of these wndalite cheap, I decided to give the series a try. I’m fascinated by the look at the Taxxon homeworld. Applegate loved that quick fix.

Chrohicles thought he lost it when the Ellimist restored his Andalite form, like how Tobias remained a hawk but could morph again. Sep 16, holliehocks rated it it was amazing. The Megamorphs all varied in terms of quality, but all of the Chronicles books particularly the first two were pretty much distilled win.

Also casting my vote for Watership Down.

He told Loren to determine where they should go. I mean, I could pretty much leave it at that. The story returns to the construction site after Elfangor crashes back on Earth.

So I always considered the reappearance of Chapman on earth who is then nice to be a sign that the world wasn’t real. This book is about challenging the most important things in your life, and giving a reason why. Considering the air hoods, I wonder what’s slightly different about Andalite atmosphere.

I probably wouldn’t give this 4 stars if I hadn’t read andalute as a kid, but I loved and found it very easy to get sucked back into the Animorphs universe that took up so much of my childhood.
